Hair Removal
Long-term laser hair reduction for face and body. Provider-performed, safe for a range of skin types, and effective for both small areas and full-body protocols.
How laser hair reduction works.
Laser energy targets the pigment in the hair shaft, traveling down to the follicle and disabling its ability to produce new hair. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are needed to catch each follicle in its active phase.
Consultation
We assess your skin type, hair color, and treatment area to confirm laser hair reduction is the right fit for you and to plan the right device and settings.
Treatment Series
Most patients need 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart. Sessions are short — underarms take about 15 minutes; larger areas like legs take longer.
Maintenance
After your initial series, some patients return for touch-ups once or twice a year. Hormonal changes can stimulate new follicles, so periodic maintenance keeps results lasting.

Common questions
Is it permanent?
The FDA term is “long-term hair reduction.” Most patients see 70–90% lasting reduction after a full series. Hormonal changes (puberty, pregnancy, menopause, PCOS) can activate dormant follicles, so periodic maintenance may be needed.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe it as a quick snap or warm pinch on each pulse. The face and bikini area tend to be more sensitive than legs or arms. We use topical numbing when helpful.
Why do I need so many sessions?
Hair grows in three cycles — growing, resting, and shedding. The laser only effectively disables follicles in the growing phase. Spacing sessions out catches more follicles as they cycle into that phase.
Can darker skin be treated?
Yes — we use devices and settings appropriate for a range of Fitzpatrick skin types. We screen carefully at consultation to confirm safety and effectiveness for your skin.
What can I do to prepare?
Shave the area the day before treatment. Avoid waxing, plucking, or tanning for at least 4 weeks before your appointment, since the laser needs intact hair follicles and unbleached skin to work effectively.
Smooth skin, long-term.
